TIPS

No reservation?

No worries. If you are traveling without a car, you can just show up, and buy your ticket at Algeciras port.

To bring

If you are traveling to Morocco, do not forget to bring a pen.

Because on the ferry itself you will be asked to fill out an entrance form.

And obviously, do not forget your passport. It needs to be valid up to 6 months after the date of return.

Enjoy!

If you are on a holiday, try to take a normal (slow) ferry if you can...

...they are the only ones that really give a touch of a Cruise to the journey.

On warm and sunny days... the Gibraltar Strait is fantastic.

La Linea

In the whole of this very busy and urban area of the bahia de Algeciras (the English say The Bay of Gibraltar)...

Only one town is really worth a visit, and that is La Linea.

Still very Spanish (which is a surprise, being so near to the Costa del Sol), La Linea really has a nice centre, full with terraces and trendy bars.
